resolutions

i do not normally make new year’s resolutions.  but i made one this year.  and i’m actually following through!  i’m attempting to teach myself the technical side of photography and to learn all of the bells and whistles that my camera has to offer.

this weekend i practiced with very basic things.  aperture, shutter speed, exposure and combining all them together.  i got mixed results but it’s a learning process.  it doesn’t help that the colors of winter can be quite challenging.  i wanted to try and freeze frame running water but the pictures were way too dark in the woods.  but i shall try again.  i still got some nice photos and it feels good to be working towards something.
